Flights to Malé
Most of our guests come from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. A direct flight takes about ten hours, a few hours more with a change in the Gulf. As of 2026.
From Germany
Condor flies direct from Frankfurt (FRA), more often in the high season than from May to October. With one change, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad and Turkish Airlines fly from most German airports.
From Austria
Austrian Airlines flies direct from Vienna (VIE), about nine hours, once or twice a week depending on the season. Otherwise via Frankfurt, Zurich, the Gulf or Istanbul.
From Switzerland
Edelweiss flies direct from Zurich (ZRH), about nine hours. With one change: Emirates, Qatar Airways and Oman Air.
From the UK
British Airways flies direct from London, about ten hours out and eleven back. With one change: SriLankan Airlines via Colombo, or the Gulf airlines via Doha, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
From Italy
Neos flies direct in season. Scheduled flights go via Europe or the Gulf, about ten hours in the air.
From anywhere else
With one change in Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Istanbul or Colombo you can reach Malé from almost anywhere.
Best time to travel
Whale sharks live on the reef off Maamigili all year round, and the water is always 28 to 30 °C.
December to April
The dry season: little rain, calm seas and usually the best visibility. This is when the mantas come to the cleaning stations on the west side of the atoll, such as Madivaru.
May to November
It rains more often, and the sea is rougher.

Whenever you land, someone from the house is waiting at the airport. Five minutes later you are at the guesthouse.
